New Shell Fuel Rewards cardholders can save 30 cents per gallon for a limited time

Citi and Shell have partnered to launch two new credit cards designed to help you save money at the pump: the Shell|Fuel Rewards card and the Shell|Fuel Rewards Mastercard. For a limited time, new cardholders can save 30 cents per gallon on up to 20 gallons per purchase, on the first five Shell fuel purchases made by June 20, 2019. To qualify for this promotion, you must apply for either card by Feb. 28, 2019.

Once the limited-time offer ends, cardholders can save 10 cents per gallon on up to 20 gallons per purchase at participating Shell-branded retail stations.

According to Chris Suess, general manager of payments in North America at Shell Oil Products U.S., the cards offer a simplified approach to customers, “making it easier for them to pay and save at participating Shell branded retail stations.”

Earn rebates on non-fuel purchases

Along with saving money on gas purchases, both cards offer 10 percent in Shell rebates on the first $1,200 in non-fuel purchases made at participating Shell branded retail stations each year.

Additionally, Shell Fuel Rewards Mastercard members will earn 2 percent in Shell rebates on dining and grocery purchases, on up to $10,000 each year, and 1 percent in Shell rebates on all other qualifying purchases.

Ongoing Shell card offers

To redeem your rebates, simply apply them as credits toward purchases made with your Shell card in subsequent billing cycles.
